10 Things All Motivated People Know

We are going to focus on the individuals who are motivated to better themselves every chance they have, and what is it that they know that enables them to hold that world view. 10 of the top pieces of knowledge that are common in motivated individuals are as follows:

Things All Motivated People Know

1. Motivated people are keenly aware of their strengths and weaknesses. They know this is important, as they need to always be building upon their strengths, and need to be improving upon their weaknesses. In this way they are always moving forward and growing.

2. They work in small and manageable steps. Instead of becoming overwhelmed, a motivated person takes an ultimate goal and breaks it down into small and more palatable steps that they can make progress on each day or week. In this way they are always making progress, and never getting behind.

3. Motivated people know that every journey starts with a single step. They are well aware that you have to start somewhere, no matter how small. Each step leads to the next, but you cannot start down that path if you do not have the courage to take that first step. When you see that it is not so bad, you will be motivated to keep moving forward.

4. Motivated people know they do better when there is some accountability. This can be something very simple, but you have to have a system of checks and balances in place that makes sure you are doing what you say you are, and that you are staying on schedule.

5. Motivated people know themselves. They are honest about their habits, and about the things that could get them off track. They make preventing those from becoming an issue part of the plan when they start it.

6. Tell someone your goals, steps, and deadlines. It keeps is on track and motivated to know that someone is checking in on them, and that they have said out loud that they will do something by a certain time.

7. Motivated people have personal drive. They are not successful because they have someone behind them pushing them and telling them what to do. They are successful because they have personal drive, and they want to achieve goals and improve upon themselves.

8. Motivated people are optimistic. They believe in themselves, and in the ability for things to work out if they are willing to put the work in. This is faith in self, faith in their strengths, and faith in their problem-solving skills.

9. They believe that things will work out no matter how many times they go wrong. Many of the most successful people in this world, failed many more times than the succeeded. The difference between them and anyone else is they picked themselves up each time they fell and tried again. I always makes me wonder how close many people are to success right when they quit. Would they have finally succeeded if they had gone just a little further and a little longer?

10. Motivated people are open too, and even want, constructive criticism. They know that this is one of the ways for them to continually improve. Many times we get so close to a project, that we are not able to see the big picture. Feedback and perspective from someone else can give us that one idea that helps us to finally break through the wall and solve the issue.
