Only discovered Anthony Bourdain late in his TV travelogue career. Lately following up on his quotes I see he was a philosopher artisan entrepreneur. A guy who endeavored to live, learn, and be an honest traveler with those he met and worked with.
From that limited rosey viewpoint, he’s a role model worth adding to my list.

I hate living in a world without Bourdain! Once I discovered him, it was always a joy to find a show I had not seen. One of my many favorites was when he found a troop of Boy Scouts in an old Roman arena in Libya and he said the Scout oath with them “On my honor, I will do my Best…”I know he was a dope fiend at times, but didn’t he model the behavior for a highly successful life after the heaviest drug use? If you watch the last episode he did in Russia, he and his guests were very articulate about Putin’s shortcomings. Honestly, I will never believe he took his own life, but I believe that it was Putin who did him in.
