Woody Hayes was a professor of Military History at The Ohio State University and commander of a US Navy destroyer in WWII before he was a football coach. I believe his quote that applies most to today — though many — is #9: “Any time you give a man something he doesn’t earn, you cheapen him. Our kids earn what they get, and that includes respect.”
