The Japanese call it Satori, the Buddhists call it Enlightenment, and us American’s call it “go out and get a job” – just kidding! We call it consciousness.
Regardless of what you call it; we all at one point or another seem to WAKE UP!
When you have woken up, you know it!
Here are three signs that you are well on your way!
1. You find yourself disgusted!
That’s right! Down right disgusted! Disgusted by the idea that you have settled for too long.
Disgusted by the idea that you have not taken responsibility and have allowed certain things to stay in your life for too long!
Thankfully, in the blink of an eye, that can all change.
Become aware of why you were doing what you were doing.
Embrace a fresh view on what you have been trying to avoid.
If we said that all change and growth came from positive experiences, that would be just a flat out lie.
Change and growth are positive, but what’s ironic is that the path to get there is often full of obstacles, self reflection and failures.
2. You find yourself less stimulated by the same old conversations.
You’re tired of engaging in the gossip, the complaints, the ridicule and the criticism.
For too long you have entertained it, and for some reason it just doesn’t stimulate you the way it once did.
You now see it as a petty, time burning activity.
But that’s all in the past.
Now, you can’t engage in those conversations because it will take time away from contemplating your dreams and goals.
It will take time away from having the conversations that will allow you to meet like minded people who are taking positive action towards their dreams.
The days of gossip and complaints are over!
You find yourself blocking out everyone else’s voice so you can finally hear your own.
The biggest reason why people do not get what they want out of life is because they genuinely do not know that they want.
One of the reasons for this is because they are living someone else’s life and listening to someone else’s voice.
“Be yourself, everyone else is already taken.” –Oscar Wilde
We have been programmed to think that change takes years upon years.
However, no matter where we are at in our lives, we have all had a moment of awakening.
We have all seen things from a fresh and new perspective and we have all said, “I’m not going to take this anymore!”
Do not hit the snooze button on your life!
