Although Kamina is killed, Simon and the rest of the group called Team Gurren initially conquer the Spiral King.
After seven years of peace, they learn he was merely working for an alien race called the Anti-Spirals, and the Anti-Spirals are out to destroy Earth.
Simon and his team must defeat the Anti-Spirals to save the Earth!
