Ward was born in Oakdale, Louisiana, in 1921 and died in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1994 at 72.

His writings were seen in many places, including the Fort Worth “Star-Telegram” newspaper, where he wrote the “Pertinent Proverbs.”

Ward’s writings also appeared in magazines such as “The Christian Home,” “Reader’s Digest,” and “Sunshine.”

Ward served in the military, where he rose to the rank of Captain, then returned to civilian life.

He graduated from McMurry University and later received an honorary doctorate from Oklahoma City University for his literary contributions.
