Robert Craig Knievel, better known as Evel Knievel, was an American motorcycle daredevil from Butte, Montana.

Another story says that when he shared a cell with a man named William Knofel.

The guards gave him the nickname Awful Knofel.

What was Evel Knievel’s longest jump?

Knieval had a legendary career. 

Naturally, he completed many different “big” jumps. 

He also retired several times, only to return for one more big stunt. 

In 1975, over ninety thousand people gathered to watch Knievel jump. 

They came to see him jump ten single-decker buses.

Unfortunately, he clipped the last bus and crashed, breaking his pelvis. 

After the failed jump at Wembley Stadium, Knievel called it quits. 

However, a few months later, he came out of retirement for an even bigger jump. 

On October 15, 1975, Evel successfully cleared a jump of fourteen Greyhound buses for a distance of one hundred and thirty-three feet. 

This was his longest jump, and he sustained no injuries with a clean landing. 

His record held for a long time. 

In 1999, Bubba Blackwell broke Knievel’s record.
