What Happens to Ralph?
The group slowly begins to leave Ralph and join up with Jack, first out of the love of the savagery and lack of rules under Jack and then in fear of Jack’s group.
Finally, Ralph is left alone, and Jack’s group is out to kill him, so Ralph goes into hiding.
When the other boys set fire to the island to scare Jack out, the British Navy sees the smoke and comes to rescue them all, but Ralph will never forget the end of his innocence.
