As a kid, I grew up watching Bill Nye the Science Guy.
One thing I always found interesting was the way he questioned how time happens.
A flea, fish, raccoon, tree, and human all perceive time differently, so it seems natural that time occurs differently on other planets.
I have always been interested in Mars.
Bill Nye once asked, “When we see the shadow on our images, are we seeing the time 11 minutes ago on Mars? Or are we seeing the time on Mars as observed from Earth now?

Time travel is different from what we think it is.
Some argue that there is no time travel in the sci-fi sense.
They say that when time traveling, what you are doing is shifting to a parallel reality to the one that seems remarkably similar to the one from your past.
The next logical question would be, is there a machine to help us achieve this?
Well, yes and no.
Theoretically, a person could make a device that creates an energy bubble that isolates you from any particular reality so you can impose upon it the frequency of the parallel reality you wish to experience.
Again, theoretically, when you impose the frequency of the particular reality you wish to access and remove the bubble, you wind up in that reality because you have shifted yourself to the parallel you desired.

Here is a time travel scenario to consider:
Let’s say you take a picture of yourself at ten years old, and you develop it and put it on a table.
Now you grow up, take a picture of yourself at thirty, develop it, and put it on the same table.
At thirty, you also invent your time machine.
You go back in time in time to visit the version of yourself, which is theoretically the ten-year-old version of you.
At thirty, you take a picture with your ten-year-old self and put it on the table.
Now the table has three pictures.
All three pictures exist simultaneously.
Remember, as stated earlier, time travel is more about shifting to a parallel reality that seems remarkably similar to the one from your past.
Similarly, all three realities exist simultaneously, which means you didn’t change the first picture.
You could not have because you weren’t there then.
What you have done at thirty in your time machine is go into the reality of another ten-year-old.
