7 Good Morning Questions that Create Happiness

These good morning questions will help you set up the perfect routine.

If one would like to become or establish a winning morning routine, one needs to set the intention before one goes to bed the night before.

Many books have been written on the morning routines of famous and successful business tycoons.

I have been practicing the same morning routine since July 1, 2015, and it has served me well.

Because of this habit, I hit all my business and personal goals this year.

Come up with your morning questions or use these

A book I highly recommend is Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod.

In it, he dares the reader to a 30-day challenge of following a morning routine.

My book club took the challenge in July 2015, and I have continued the practice ever since.

Using the Miracle Morning routine as an example, I put together my seven good morning questions that create the happiness I enjoy every day.

No matter what happens on a particular day, I ensure I wake up early enough to complete my morning routine.

1) What Am I Grateful for This Morning?

“A grateful heart is a beginning of greatness. It is an expression of humility. It is a foundation for the development of such virtues as prayer, faith, courage, contentment, happiness, love, and wellbeing.” – James E. Faust

Spend a little time being grateful as soon as you wake up.

When is the last time you thought or said out loud all the things, people, and experiences for which you are GRATEFUL?

It is amazing what happens to your energy level when you begin the day in this manner.

2) What Exercise in Positivity am I Going to Focus on This Morning?

Repeat positive affirmations or incantations that align with your goals and dreams.

When you do this, you immediately put your mind in a positive winning state.

The definition is an incantation is a written or recited formula of words designed to produce a particular effect.

The difference between an affirmation and an incantation is when you recite an incantation, you use your whole body.

You say it repeatedly versus an affirmation when you just say something positive but not repeated.

I like to write my incantations on 3×5 cards.

I choose one or two that fit with the day.

3) What Does My Schedule Look Like Today?

Visualize what your day is going to look like.

Walk through your entire schedule, from how you wake up to getting ready to your path of travel, down to your appointments, and so forth.

I also like to focus on the positive outcomes of my sales appointments.

This is one of my favorite good morning questions.

Have you ever mentally walked through your entire day?

It is very fun and interesting.

I try to visualize as much detail as possible.

I see myself driving down the road to my next destination.

It is amazing what pops into the picture while walking through the visualization process.

4) What Exercise Do I Want To Do This Morning?

“The reason I exercise is for the quality of life I enjoy.”- Kenneth H. Cooper

Exercise for at least 30 minutes a day.

I think the best exercise is actually the one that is most convenient for you.

You don’t need any special equipment.

If you begin your day with just a brisk walk outside for 30 minutes, your body, mind, and spirit will reward you greatly.

5) What Book Do I Feel Like Reading This Morning?

“Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.”- Joseph Addison

Choose something motivational or uplifting and read for 10 to 20 minutes.

I prefer to read an actual book during my morning routine.

If you choose to read from portable devices, just be careful not to get sidetracked with online time wasters.

6) What Should I Write About This Morning?

“Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.”- Benjamin Franklin

I think many people would like to journal but don’t seem to have the discipline to do so.

I’m talking about actually writing with a pen or pencil.

We spend so much time on our electronic devices that I think our brain is actually refreshed when we pick up a good old pen and write.

Sometimes, I write a card or a letter to a friend.

People really enjoy getting a written note via snail mail.

When I first started practicing the seven good morning questions that create happiness, I used the time to work on posting a blog.

I wrote about business networking topics.

I enjoy blogging, so it has been very rewarding for me to spend time on this type of creative outlet.

It exercises my brain, and I gain tremendous energy from writing.

7) What Steps Can I Take To Learn Something New This Morning?

“Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow.”- Anthony J. D’Angelo

Mornings are a great time to work on learning something new.

It will surprise you how much you can learn about a particular subject by spending just 10 or 15 minutes a day focused on learning.

I chose to learn Spanish and found a great FREE app that teaches me Spanish.

I can spend as much time on it as I have for that day.

It keeps track of my progress, has a review process, and has a social aspect built in.

You can find Duolingo in your app store.

Try these 7 good morning questions that create happiness and see what happens.

This simple process can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the time one has.

I found I wanted more time to work on certain aspects of my morning routine, so I set my alarm for an hour earlier before getting out of bed.

This is so I could complete my good morning questions and give each one the right focus.

Sometimes I need to cram it all in, but I can take it slow most days.

But the key here is to do it every day and set the intention the night before.

I even continue the practice while traveling or on vacation.

I don’t let any excuse keep me from starting my day with this winning routine.
